The rise of new pedagogies such as Blended Learning has been dominating today’s educational and learning reforms. Despite the challenges, lack of understanding and a steep learning curve, embracing blended learning is increasingly less of an option and more of a need of the hour.

Learning as a concept is changing. As the educational industry today seek to meet the needs of learners who have high expectations from their learning process, resisting such changes in pedagogy is bound to make them expendable.

The largely adopted brick-and-mortar approach to learning that dates back to early 18th Century has remained virtually unchanged – until now. Having understood this shift in learning, we at IIHT have adopted a Blended Learning approach to eliminate the challenges faced in a traditional learning environment on every front, and transform the way learning, content, and experience is delivered.

Our modular approach to courses has allowed us to incorporate a blended ecosystem that cater to individual needs of a learner.

The learning model itself, when coupled with our meticulously curated course content instils a sense of ownership over learning, enabling learners to become more self-driven. Learners are encouraged to now track and improve on their achievements, allowing learning to become more learner-centric.

Engagements with the large volumes of digital content and cloud labs we offer allow learners to stay focused for longer periods, advocating learning through research, exploration and practice.

The ability to review and give you feedback constantly allows us to tailor our approach to learning for each and every student. What else? You also have the opportunity to transform anyplace into your classroom, anytime at the touch of a button.

With time, patience and frequent trial-and-error we’ve moved past defining blended learning as an integration of course content on to an LMS. Taking one objective at a time, we’ve carefully studied how students learn, gather and process information, and how they can apply what they learnt in real-life scenarios. During the course of learning we also ensure that learners use the environment we’ve built for them to learn from industry experts and peers alike.

Our blended learning ecosystem hinges on thoughtful consideration of how to architect course materials that can be further customised to meet the learning objectives while also supporting different learning styles. By responding to the niche expectations of the 21st century students, and eliminating restrictions regarding what constitutes as a learning space, we believe we no longer play the role of a teacher. Rather, we’ve become facilitators of an enhanced learning process.
